Basic Travel Bookings
(Fee: NO additional; receive our commission directly from the vendor)
As a primary service, The Greater GO will facilitate basic personal or business travel bookings for clients with and without special needs. Typical travel bookings include:
- Cruises
- Airfare
- Rental Cars
- Railway Travel
- Bus Travel
- Hotel Accommodations
- Resorts
- Tours and Tickets
- Travel Insurance
Customized Travel Arrangements
(Fee: 10% of the total booking)
These customizable additional services will specifically address YOUR unique special needs. Services include but are not limited to:
- 24 hour telephone assistance and trouble-shooting during trip
- Arrangements for adaptive equipment and health supplies (beach wheelchairs, shower chairs, oxygen, etc.)
- Arrangements for personal attendants while traveling
- Arrangement of medical appointments ( i.e. dialysis) while traveling
- Arrangement for specialized/accessible transportation/tours, etc.
- Other services as needed
GO on US
A portion of funds from each trip booked through The Greater GO will be set aside for the purpose of funding exploration trips, also known in the travel industry as familiarization (FAM) trips, specifically for people with special needs.
Individuals with special needs will apply to The Greater GO for a free trip to a location either of their choosing or one determined by The Greater GO. The objective of their trip will be to explore and identify accessibility issues related to the location and travel to/from/around the location.
Travelers selected for these FAM trips will be expected to take pictures and videos of their experiences, to blog about them, and to complete accessibility checklists during the trip. This information will be used by The Greater GO to select and endorse the best accessible locations and trips. The experiences of those who have been there will also be shared on The Greater GO website and distributed to email subscribers.
